TERMS OF SALE
All coins offered in this catalogue are guaranteed to be genuine and as described.
The sale is held according to the laws of the City of New York by a licensed and bonded auctioneer. Auction sales are
strictly for cash and must be paid promptly in U.S. funds. The highest bidder will be the buyer, and the decision of the
auctioneer will be final in all instances.
No commission will be charged for executing either mail or floor bids. The lots will be awarded to the highest mail
bidder at a price based on the next highest bid plus 5°/o. The floor bid will start a 5 °/o above the second highest mail bi
and will proceed at reasonable advances until the lot is sold. Thus, it is possible for a mail bidder to be awarded a lot at an
amount considerably less than his bid.
Unknown bidders must establish credit or deposit 25% of their bids. Deposits not used will be immediately refunded.
Each bidder is personally responsible for his purchases; bidders cannot claim to act for a third party.
Mail bids must be in the hands of the auctioneer one day before the day of the sale. All claims for adjustment must be
made in writing within five days after the delivery of the awarded lots. Preference is given to the first mail bid received in
case of identical bids.
Lots will be sent by registered mail as promptly as the magnitude of the sale allows. Postage and registry charges are to
be paid by the buyer. Lots delivered in New York State are subject to the appropriate sales tax.
Title remains with Alex G. Malloy, Inc., until items are paid for in full. No lots may be returned without permission.
1 ‘/2% per month service charge will be added to all bids delinquent after on month from the date of the sale.
We cannot be responsible for any errors in bidding. Please make sure each bid is correct.
The valuation noted on our list of estimated prices for each lot is a guide for bidders based on international market
prices. These are not reserve limits. Prices realized may well be higher or lower than these valuations. These reserves are
always below the estimated prices.
